Picking up where the story of COCO BEFORE CHANEL (directed by Anne Fontaine) left off, COCO & IGOR tells of the brief, tumultuous affair between two iconic artists in the early 1900’s. COCO & IGOR is a visually and aurally sumptuous tale that integrates well appointed period scenes with archival footage to support the steely Coco Chanel (this time portrayed by Anna Mouglalis) and the brooding, unfaithful Igor Stravinsky (Mads Mikkelsen – AFTER THE WEDDING, FLAME AND CITRON). Igor moves his wife and children to Chanel’s country home for “financial reasons” which soon become far more personal. Jan Kounen (99 FRANCS, DOBERMAN) directs.
