Movie queen Vilma Santos stars in her first ever horror–suspense, THE HEALING. The film explores the tradition of visiting faith healers for guidance and treatment of ailments, challenging the viewer to consider this ingrained part of Filipino culture. When a woman’s father is miraculously restored after a devastating stroke, all her friends and neighbors beg to be taken to the faith healer Manang Elsa for the same results. But death comes knocking, seeking out each newly–healed person as the woman desperately seeks a way to end the curse before it takes another life.
