THE DEEP BLUE SEA
108 min | R
Rachel Weisz, who earned an Oscar for THE CONSTANT GARDENER, plays a well bred lady in a romantic dilemma. She must choose between her husband, an all too civilized British judge, and her lover, an amorous Royal Air Force pilot. Weisz plays the same role portrayed by Vivien Leigh in the 1955 version of Terence Rattigan's acclaimed play. Terence Davies, whose THE HOUSE OF MIRTH and DISTANT VOICES, STILL LIVES are cherished by film cultists, directs the current version of Rattigan's wistful drama.
